The OASI Foundation fully supports the recommendations on drinking and drunk driving in the document issued by Sedqa Malta, Maltese Association Of Psychiatry and Doctors for Road Safety

We welcome the introduction of zero tolerance for alcohol consumption when other legal or illegal psychoactive substances are present. We approve of Roadside Testing and the testing protocols. This measure strengthens road safety by addressing the heightened risks of combined alcohol and drug use, which significantly impair judgment, slow reaction times, and increase the likelihood of severe crashes.

OASI remains committed to safeguarding lives through evidence-based policies that put public health and safety first.
