Call for Applications: SUPPORT WORKER & ASSISTANT FACILITATOR (Part-time)

We are looking for a person who is motivated and able to work under own initiative, while at the same time be part of a team. The ideal candidate for this post should willing to learn new helping skills and at the same time willing to assist others in developing their skills and wellbeing and be able to commit to the long term with the organization, and be able to understand the nature of the Foundation’s functions.

The main responsibilities include assisting the residents in their daily tasks, guiding them to follow the daily activities of the programme and befriending them to motivate toward change. The ideal candidate should have good communication skills and an integral personality, while showing a disposition for understanding and be able to motivate and encourage people towards change in the simple performance of daily living skills.

The person should be able to understand the dynamics of residential therapy and willing to learn to understand the nature of addiction.

A qualification and/or relevant experience in Social Care/Nursing Assistance would be an advantage.

Training, both inhouse and from other institutions will be offered. It will be necessary for the incumbent to obtain valid First Aid and Food Handling Certificates.
